About The Founder
ShadeTree Counseling is the brainchild of Lidia Conners, a licensed clinical social worker with a master's degree in Social Work from the University of Kansas. What makes Lidia different from others in the field is that, along with English, she also speaks Spanish, allowing her to connect with a wider client base.

Treatment Techniques
At ShadeTree Counseling, I employ research-based techniques to treat trauma, anxiety, and depression. I utilize Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) to work with the conscious mind, identify negative thoughts, cognitive distortions, and erroneous core beliefs affecting client's mental health.
I use Mindfulness and Self- Hypnosis to work with negative subconscious processes, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help with traumatic memories. I also employ somatic techniques to help integrate the body and teach self-regulation as I treat mental health conditions.
